DaShaunda D. H. Taylor, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology whose research focuses on maternal and child health and social epidemiology. She is dedicated to improving social conditions so that people can attain their highest level of health and can meaningfully contribute to the lives of others. She utilizes her research background in the influence of co-occurring substance use on opiate treatment program effectiveness, opioid use disorder outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the role of doulas in supporting pregnant and postpartum individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) to contribute to collaboratives that support individuals with SUD.
